Stocks close higher as technology shares rally. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.15% rose 35.77 points, or 0.2%, to 24,307.18. The S&P 500 SPX, +0.31% gained 8.34 points, or 0.3%, to 2,726.71 and the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, +0.76% climbed 57.38 points, or 0.8%, to 7,567.69.

Oil Falls As OPEC Output Rises, More Production Planned. Oil futures fell Monday as supplies from Saudi Arabia and Russia rose while economic growth stumbled in Asia amid escalating trade disputes with the United States. Brent crude fell $1.93 to settle at $77.30. U.S. light crude fell to settle down 21 cents at $73.94.

US ISM factory gauge jumps, Inflated by longer delivery times. Factory index climbed to 60.2, matching the second-highest since 2004, from 58.7; readings above 50 indicate expansion. Gauge of supplier deliveries jumped to 68.2, the second- highest since April 1979, from 62; figure shows lead times increasing as producers have trouble meeting demand.

Kimly buys drinks manufacturer Asian Story Corporation for S$16m. ASC sells an assortment of Asian drinks such as chrysanthemum tea, winter melon tea and lemon barley under the Asian Story brand. It has a 7.7 per cent market share in Singapore, a regulatory filing by Kimly showed.

Chip Eng Seng to buy Adelaide site for A$14.5 million, from company linked to group CEO. Chip Eng Seng called the property "a quality site which is centrally located within the Capital City Zone in the central business district", and added that the proposed acquisition would let it expand its footprint in Adelaide after its acquisition of the Mercure and Ibis Styles Grosvenor Hotel in March 2018.

CNMC's Sokor mine in Malaysia produced 8,750 ounces of gold in Q2.
