International hotel group Carlson Rezidor inks two new hotel deals in India

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced on May 19 that it had inked two new hotel deals in India as part of its strategy to expand its Asia-Pacific pipeline. At the same time, the group announced the opening of three hotels in India, and its first Radisson Blu hotel in Bangkok.

The new hotel deals include the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Aligarh Uttar Pradesh, a 70-key hotel located close to the Aligarh Railway Station, along the Delhi-Kolkata route. The hotel is owned by DAH Hotels and is expected to open in 2Q2017. The second deal was for Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Kharar, an 80-key hotel, located close to the Chandigarh Railway Station and Chandigarh Airport. The hotel is owned by Credo Hospitality and is expected to open by 1Q2017.

The three new hotel openings in India include the 240-key Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa in Ambamata, the 202-room Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City in Gachibowli, and the 100-key Park Plaza Zirakpur in Chandigarh. Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok is a 290-key hotel, located in Sukhumvit that is owned by G&P Asset Holding Co Ltd. Carlson Rezidor has 95 operating hotels in Asia-Pacific and expects to increase the number to more than 100 by year end.
