The Straits Times Index rose 0.15% to 3,282.88 on Monday. The top active stocks were UOB (+0.67%), Noble (+0.76%), SingTel (+0.78%), Global Logistic (unchanged) and Biosensors (+0.99%). Here are some stocks to watch this morning:
Hotel Properties Limited's founder Ong Beng Seng and Wheelock Properties, who are tying up to buy out the hotel company, have raised their offer again to $4.05 a share. This is the second time the offer has been raised. The offer was improved to $4 a share from $3.50 previously.
Boustead Singapore said net profit for the fourth quarter ended March fell 8% to $25.5 million from a year ago, due to a lower value of non-recurring items. Revenue fell 3% to $142 million from $146 million.
Mapletree Logistics Trust (MLT) has entered into a sale-and-purchase agreement with Daehwa Logistics Co to acquire a logistics centre outside Seoul for KRW25.5 billion ($31.2 million).
