Olam whose accounting methods were questioned by short‐seller Carson Block, dropped its defamation lawsuit against Block and his research firm Muddy Waters LLC after failing to serve the complaint, according to a statement to the Singapore stock exchange. Olam is expected to reveal the results of its strategic review ‐ looking at matters ranging from its gearing level to ways of reducing its vulnerability against future attacks ‐ later this month. Separately, Temasek Holdings has increased its stake in Olam to 23%.
