Terratech Group is principally engaged in the exploration, development, quarrying, extraction, removal and processing of marble from the Kelantan Marble Quarry in Malaysia (consisting of four marble hills - 1, 2A, 2B and 3), and commercial sale of marble and marble products.
The Group has been granted a sub-lease for the Kelantan Marble Quarry for 33 years, from 27 January 2011 to 26 January 2044, with exclusive rights to undertake the Marble Business. It has commenced commercial production at hill 3 and hill 2B in March 2012 and 2013, respectively. They are still constructing the working platforms in Hills 1 and 2A.
The first sale of marble slabs to third-party customers was in February this year. Their current order book is valued at S$23.5m, a significant portion of which would be recognised as revenue in FY2015.
