While the CPO price plunge in recent weeks is a concern for the palm
oil producers at our Plantation Day event, most of them, like us,
anticipate a price recovery by year-end as seasonal demand picks up.
The event was well attended,
drawing more than 75 domestic and
international investors. We maintain
our Trading Buy call on the sector in
anticipation of a recovery in price
towards year-end but may review our
CPO price forecasts in view of the
recent steep drop in prices. Astra
Agro, Sime and Indo Agri remain our
top picks.
