Short week for Asia
With Asian markets shut for Labour Day tomorrow, the market looks set to extend the quiet trading month right up to the very day.

In the U.S however, the week will see the release of potentially market moving data relating to manufacturing, employment and payrolls. In China, all eyes will be on its PMI manufacturing figures. Earlier last week, concerns over HSBC’s preliminary figure on China’s PMI had sent stock markets tumbling as it suggested a contraction of the Chinese market for a sixth month.

Mon 30 Apr: U.S Personal Income (Mar), U.S ISM Manufacturing (Apr)
Tue 1 May: China PMI Manufacturing (Apr)
Wed 2 May: U.S ADP Employment Change (Apr), U.S Factory Orders (Mar)
Fri 4 May: U.S Change in Non-farm Payroll (Apr),
