What is the best time of the day to set your trade?

If you Google this, you will have myriad of opinions.

We always hear boastful tone…. "Big boy don't trade at the opening of trading hour, only amateur buy shares in the morning"

"Big Boy trade at the last hour of the day, that when BIG money comes into the market".

"Big Boy will dump shares at lunch hour, market change direction at 2pm".

The public has this myth and this will make public constantly going mad and trying to anticipate every hour and every move of big boy."

They will never leave their screen, mesmerized, and always on high alert.

Traders will be emotionally exhausted…..

This is madness…. all these are myth.

The most important time in my trading day is before the market open!

Let me repeat again

The most important time in my trading day is before the market open!

We will have overnight news, economic news, earning reports, market analyst report…. most are announce after market closed. This will create investors/traders sentiments.

The next day pre- market action will be dramatic especially e.g. China interest-rate cut, ECB open up for more QE, Fed Yellen wants to increase interest rate… etc.

It is not so much about the "news", but how the market reacts to it.

What I personally, would not use this hour to open new trade but only to protect or take advantage of what I have.

Every morning, I will calmly login to my trading platform 15 min before market open; make coffee, yawning and smell the aroma of the coffee. I will not trade at the beginning of the 1st 30 min when trading start.

A cup of freshly ground coffee is what it takes to get some people moving in the morning.
