As a position trader, I will decide to be a bull or a bear based on weekly and execute on daily chart.

If I am a day trader, I will decide to be a bull or bear based on daily and execute on hourly chart.

Let me give you a real life example:

When you see a pretty lady in a pub/club and want to buy her a drink. You need to look at bigger picture, Is she alone or with a group of ladies or is there a big muscle guy with tattoo all over his body right beside her?

Do yourself a favor, make a strategic decision based on a bigger time frame (weekly chart) before zoom (daily chart) in to your attractive trade!

Strategic decision on the longer-term chart and tactical decision on the shorter-term chart.
