Did Argentina (Merval) stock market crash?

The Answer is No.

But the Media (CNN, CNBC, BBC) headlines were all about effect of Argentina default.

This created PANIC and FEAR for the retail investors/traders.

Does the public know?

I believed retail investors are the last to know or don’t even know.

US Market during Argentina default news:

Dow Jones Industrial -467 points (for that week)

S&P 500 -53 points (for that week)

NASDAQ -96 points (for that week)

ASIA during Argentina dfault news:

SSE up +59 points (for that week)

STI up +19 points (for that week)

For traders, trading has never been easy.
