Business Background

United Overseas Insurance Limited engages in the underwriting of general insurance and reinsurance in Singapore, ASEAN countries, and internationally. The company offers personal insurance products that include travel, personal accident, home protection, foreign domestic worker, and motor insurance products. It also provides commercial general insurance products, such as fire, business interruption, machinery/equipment all risks, burglary and theft, money, marine cargo, fidelity guarantee, plate glass, public liability, work injury compensation, and group personal accident insurance products. In addition, United Overseas Insurance Limited offers contractors’ all risks/erection all risks, and directors’ and officers’ insurance products; and Takaful, an Islamic financial assurance to address misfortunes, accidents, or disasters. The company was founded in 1971 and is based in Singapore. United Overseas Insurance Limited is a subsidiary of United Overseas Bank Limited.
