Business Background

Singapore Post Limited is engaged in the operation and provision of postal and logistics services. The Company operates in three segments: mail, logistics and retail. Mail segment provides services for collecting, sorting, transporting and distributing domestic and international mail, as well as sale of philatelic products. Logistics segment provides diverse range of mail logistic services consists of domestic and international distribution and delivery services. Retail segment provides a variety of products and services, such as agency and remittance services, as well as financial services. Other operations include the provision of commercial property rental and investment holding. On February 15, 2011, the Company acquired 95% interest of Clout Shoppe Pte. Ltd. On March 14, 2011, it disposed its entire interest in Singpost Retail Services Pte. Ltd. On May 25, 2011, it acquired Datapost Pte. Ltd. As of March 31, 2011, the Company held 27.08% interest in GD Express Carrier Berhad.
