Business Background

ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited is an investment holding and management services company. The Company operates in eight segments: bus, bus station, rail, taxi, automotive engineering services, vehicle inspection and testing, car rental and leasing and driving centre. The Company's subsidiaries are engaged in provision of public bus and rail services; investment holding, and provision of motor vehicle evaluation and other related services; provision of public taxi services through the rental of taxis to hirers; provision of charter bus services, rental of buses to hirers and other related services, and Operation of workshops for repairing, servicing and general maintenance of motor vehicles and dealer in diesel for motor vehicles. In November 2010, the Company acquired Swan Taxis Pty Ltd in Perth. In May 2010, the Company struck-off its dormant wholly owned subsidiaries, F.E. Thorpe & Sons Limited, Armchair Passenger Transport Company Limited and Metroline London Northern Limited.
